Status on Projects
We want the parishioners to know where we are in a number of various
projects and the cost, to date, of each.
· The Cemetery
Arch: closed due to structural problems. The cost for the analysis
by the structural engineer was $1,000. Granite specialists will be contacted
for repair work.
· Handicap
Ramp: railings have been sanded and painted at a cost of $378: waiting
for mason to resurface.
· Estes
Organ: being worked on by Southfield Organ Builders, has
limited use since October 1st and to be fully installed for Christmas
season; musical and vocal dedication to be used as fundraiser to help offset
repair cost of $86,000.
· New Heating
System: change from steam to forced hot water with zoning; bids received,
opened, and contractor chosen; waiting for Diocese to sign and complete contracts;
$129,000 to Boulanger Plumbing and Heating of Easthampton; Mr. William Towsley,
President of Towsley Consulting of East Longmeadow, $10,000.
Upcoming projects include the Repair and Repainting of
church interior; Memorial Plaque for gifts given to
the church; Expansion of Parking Lots.
We gratefully thank all of you who continue to be so generous to
the Restoration Fund. As projects move along, we will keep you
informed.
